The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, membership-based and membership-governed organization made up of more than 600 businesses and representing more than 52,000 employees. We work to welcome new businesses through community ribbon cuttings, bring our members together at regular networking events and present timely information through our luncheons.

Advocacy
Our members have organized a number of committees to further serve the interest of local businesses. For example, our Small Business Council meets each month to identify the most pressing issues facing small business owners and then addresses these issues through the organization of workshops. Our Public Policy committee also meets regularly to determine positions on pending legislation, endorse candidates during public elections, and generally represent the best interest of all members. This committee also organizes quarterly roundtable discussions between chamber members and elected officials as part of the SRP Good Government Breakfast Series.

Leadership
At the direction of our members, the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce has entered into partnerships with the Town of Gilbert to support the Business Links program which includes the marketing and administrative support of programs such as FrontRunner and Shop Gilbert. We have also partnered with Gilbert Public Schools and Higley Unified School District to support the Arizona Academic Scholars program to encourage students to strive for post-secondary education. There are partnerships with several other organizations for programs, services, and special events – all of which our members feel bring increased value to the business community.

Opportunity
The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce serves at the town’s official source for tourism information. We work closely with the Arizona Office of Tourism to provide updated destination information and send monthly reports to the AOT regarding tourist visits and requests. In recent months, a tourism committee was created to look at long-term strategies to promote Gilbert as a destination of choice.

Growth
We have other incredible programs like Gilbert Leadership and leads clubs and group travel excursions and more. Our members are savvy business people and active community supporters. They realize that by investing in the Gilbert Chamber, they are investing in the entire community as well as their individual businesses.
